Hi, when I go to open one of our databases I get the following error message. Incomplete posting, only data integrity check will be available. I do the data integrity check and there are no errors - but I still cannot open the database.

Help!!! Thanks, Brenda

It's the General Ledger.

Hi, Brenda,

This is unusual. If the data is okay, the switch for forcing the DIC should clear.

What version of GL are you using? Is the backup option available to you or not?

Have you tried closing out of the module/program altogether and then restarting the program? Are you able to get into the data now?

It's version 8.0 and the backup option is not available - only data integrity check.

Yes, I have tried to close the module and restart with the same results.

Hi, Brenda,

It's possible that your data requires repair.

Do you have an up to date backup of your data prior to when the problem occurred? If so, you could use the WinZip or other such program to 'zip' up your current data files and then restore the backup of your ledger data. Depending on how recent the backup is, you may have to redo some work. Do you recall what had been posted to GL last before the error occurred?

Do you have an Adagio consultant that can take a look at this for you and give you a hand with it? It's often best to have someone who can see what is occurring first hand.
