Re: BankRec 8.1C (110512)

We import deposits into Adagio BankRec from our POS system. It's a standard deposit batch; Detail Only. We're trying to figure out which field in the import template will populate the description field in the Bank Reconciliation Report (see attached) as this field is always blank. We've tried "Customer Name" and "Det Description". Can anyone assist?

Hi Janelle,

Not sure why, but maybe it's the receipts Batch Description that makes it there instead of the transaction Header/Detail description. Try testing that and let us know.

Pete's absolutely correct that the Batch Description is what displays in the report when a Deposit Only batch is imported (or entered) and posted.

If it's not a Deposit Only batch, the Header description of each entry will display. That's because, in this scenario, each entry displays in the reconciliation individually.

It's the field "Hdr Description" that makes it there.

Just bear in mind that the field that makes it to the report can vary depending on the batch type as SS noted above.
