I just recently upgraded to Ledger V9.2A, and I do not see the Excel button to export to excel.

Hi hfpiche,

The visibility of the Excel Direct button is controlled on the Adagio User records. From the File menu, open User Setup and edit the desired user code. The option for 'Enable SF Export' needs to be On to allow Excel Direct.

I think it's more a function of the UserID you used to launch Adagio Ledger, than it is the upgrade.

Under File | User Setup, highlight your user ID and select Edit. Make sure the Enable SF Export box is checked.

If you can't access File | User Setup, ask whoever knows the SYS password to do it for you.

Hi Bill,

If the option is enabled on the user, and you are logged into Adagio as that user, then the Excel Direct button will appear. There are no known problems with the button not appearing, and we would have heard an avalanche of cries if there was a problem.

What screen(s) did you look at to determine the Excel Direct button is not visible?

Perhaps a shot in the dark, is your computer set with a Windows display using Large Fonts or something larger than 100%? Maybe the screen render has the button off. Or try re-sizing the window larger in case in the off chance that the Excel Direct button has been re-sized off the screen - this shouldn't happen but if this is the answer then please let us know which screen(s) this is happening for.

Hi,

Thanks for your response. The Excel Direct button does appear when I do smart finer search(F6).
In ledger for example if I want to export the detail of an account, I can find the account using SF, and I have access to the Excel Direct Button. However using this does not allow export of the account detail.
The Excel Direct option is not available from the "Print Detail Listing" menu.

The ExcelDirect button is not on any reports. It is on the View Transactions / Budgets grid and the View Transactions grid to export the chart of accounts and the balances (and/or budgets) or the specific transaction details:
