Clients just did their upgrades and upon invoicing in OE noticed that after the first couple of invoices that the rate for the customer goes to zero. (See attached)

Can anyone explain this? The client has to keep logging out of the system but only to log back in and do a couple more invoices.

We tried looking at rights issue there was none, check to ensure the upgrades were done correctly, they were. Also tried to delete and re-create the rates. Checked using the SYS admin user and password but it didn't seem to affect SYS user. Could be I wasn't in the system long enough for SYS user to be affected.

Has anyone seen this before. All versions being run is 9.2A

Two days ago one of my clients had a similar problem in AR v9.2. They did a revaluation. The listing was perfect but when they posted the revaluation the revaluation rate was set to 0.00000 and the date to 12/31/1899, so the home currency was set to $0.00. Checking the database the last revaluation rate and date fields were blank. As they didn't have a recent backup I did a new revaluation to restore the Home amount and asked them to make sure they do a backup before the next revaluation and call us back if the problem reoccurs.

Hi Doug,

There is no option for that in OE so do you think if I do it in AR it will trickle to OE and solve the problem?

Nope, all it will do is correct the Home amount in AR and send the mathematical adjustment to Unrealized Exchange Gain/Loss account. Most likely the sales account will be missing the Home current amount for this invoice.

For OE you could trying doing a credit note and re-invoice to see what happens. You would want the credit note to also have a 0 exchange rate (to match the invoice) and the new invoice to have a proper exchange rate. If this works then do the same thing on the live data. If it doesn't work then your client will either have to live with it or have a database repair (DBR) done. With a DBR you will also need to fix the GL entry with a manual GL adjustment entry.

Hi All,

We have the same problem after conversion that happened 3 days ago. It affected only 3 users in 2 different datasets. It looks like it is user profile related problem.
Does anyone know how to fix this

Regards
Victor
