A client stores the image name (and path) in the "Image file" field when entering an item.

They would like to (ideally) print the image on a PO and Sales Order. I know there is no way to do that out of the box.

But I'm wondering - can they print the contents of the field and use something (say PrintBoss) to translate that into the image when it gets printed or emailed?

Also, can the image display on the screen when entering a PO or Sales Order?

It might be possible to print the image with PrintBoss and/or include the image as an attachment in an email. Manipulating the details section of a document with PrintBoss is likely one of the most difficult/time consuming things to do with PrintBoss.

As far as displaying the image on screen during OE and/or PO data entry, that would have to be a program function in Adagio.

Without a standardized image size it would very challenging to make the result look professional. Doug is correct that line-item manipulations with PB are arduous and require the spec and form to be precisely matched, but they are do-able.

It would be simpler for PB to attach the image (or a PDF information sheet) along with an email, but that restricts the form to only operating as an emailer as PB cannot 'attach' a variable number of completely new pages to a print job.

OK, I get that. How about the other part of my question - is it possible to view the image on the screen while entering a PO or Sales Order?

aka: a new feature is required.

Thinking about it further, you sort of can see the image with the current software. When adding an item to an order click on the Item button to open the item inquiry for that item, then click on the image tab.
